Ocean Beach Health Announces Purchase of Medical Building in Long Beach for Dedicated Women’s and Children’s Clinic
ILWACO, Wash. – November 7, 2025 – Ocean Beach Health is excited to announce the purchase of the former dialysis building at 101 18th Street SE, Long Beach, to create a dedicated Women’s and Children’s Health Clinic—an investment in local care at a time when rural health faces unprecedented challenges.
“This expansion reflects our commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care and the long-term health of our community,” said Nancy Gorshe, Chair of the Board of Commissioners for Public Hospital District 3 of Pacific County.
“We’re proud to be growing and investing in the future of local care, especially with the much-needed Women’s and Children’s service line,” said Merry-Ann Keane, CEO of Ocean Beach Health.
Having a dedicated clinic means women and families will have more care options close to home. “By stepping up now, we’re filling a critical gap, strengthening local access, and building for the future,” Gorshe added.
Scheduled to open in early 2026, the new clinic addresses one of the top needs identified in Ocean Beach Health’s 2025-2027 Community Health Needs Assessment—expanded women’s and children’s services.
The 5,000-square-foot building will be renovated in phases to allow for a quicker opening. During the first phase, Ocean Beach Health will prepare two exam rooms—one for pediatric patients and one for women’s health, as well as a third procedure room for routine gynecological care. Plans also include a well-patient waiting area, a play area, and a separate sick-child waiting space. Existing features such as the reception desk, staff room, and provider offices will support a smooth transition.
“To be up and running as soon as possible, our facilities crew will begin immediate interior work,” said Keane. “A temporary wall will be installed during renovation to safely accommodate the phased opening until the full build-out is complete.”
