Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics Partners with Boulder Associates as Architect for Express Care and Ilwaco Medical Clinic Expansion
Bond-funded project will contribute to meeting current and future healthcare needs for South Pacific County
ILWACO, Wash. – Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics (OBHMC) is pleased to announce its partnership with Boulder Associates, a national architecture and design firm with a project team based out of its Seattle office, for the expansion of the Ilwaco Medical Clinic. This project will include the addition of an Express Care facility, a key component aimed at improving access to healthcare services for South Pacific County residents. The expansion is funded through a bond measure approved by local voters and will help meet the growing demand for healthcare services in the region.

Boulder Associates was selected after a thorough evaluation and bidding process, which included consideration of their extensive experience in healthcare facility design, their attention to sustainability, and their approach to community-focused solutions. “We were especially impressed with Boulder Associates’ commitment to incorporating sustainable building practices that align with the natural environment of our coastal region, as well as their design philosophy that integrates both form and function in a way that will serve the needs of our community for decades to come,” Keane added.
The expansion of the Ilwaco Medical Clinic will enhance OBHMC’s ability to expand and enhance walk-in services and improve patient flow, reducing wait times and offering more timely care. The design of the new facility will be tailored to the needs of the South Pacific County community, considering both the challenges of the local environment, such as severe wind and storms, and the need for state-of-the-art healthcare infrastructure.
