Lions Club International Foundation Presents Check to Ocean Beach Health Foundation for Women’s and Children’s Health

Debbie Mansell, Past District Governor, and Past President of Peninsula Lions Club, presents Sally Macy, president, Ocean Beach Health Foundation, with a ceremonial check for $12,500, of which $2,500 is from the local Peninsula Lions Club and $10,000 from the regional District 19-N Lions. This funding granted by the Lions Club International Foundation is for the Ocean Beach Health Long Beach Clinic, dedicated to women’s and children’s health.

“We are grateful to the Lions Club members near and far for the financial support toward our campaign for the new clinic for women and children’s health,” said Macy. “The items the grant funded, from blanket warmers to furnishings, signage to an interactive table for children will add the finishing elements that set the new clinic apart.”

In addition to the Lions Club International Grant, the Ocean Beach Health Foundation contributed a $9,855.92 match to make Phase 3 of the new clinic possible. The work was part of the OBH Foundation’s most recent major fundraising campaign which is nearing completion.
