Sealed bids will be received until 5:00pm on February 7, 2025, at the OBHMC offices located at 174 First Ave N, Ilwaco, WA 98624 or mailed to PO Box H, Ilwaco, WA 98624. Sealed bids will be opened and publicly read on February 11, 2025 at the OBHMC Conference Room B at 174 First Ave N, Ilwaco, WA 98624. Announcement of the winning bidder will be emailed by the end of day, February 14th, 2025 and subsequently published on our website and the www.bxwa websites.

Work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to:

Removal of partition walls, augmentation of the suspended ceiling, re-work of the existing HVAC system, new electrical circuits including the addition of proper branching electrical panels, additional plumbing, all with the consideration of an active existing Inpatient Care Wing that cannot be shut down and following proper Infection Control mitigation solutions. Work to be performed pursuant to contract drawings and specifications.

All interested Bidders must attend the on-site pre-bid meeting and walk-through of the Project on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, commencing promptly at 9:00 a.m. to discuss the construction and bidding process. This meeting will begin at the physical address of the Hospital, 174 First Avenue N., Ilwaco, WA 98624. We will meet in Conference Room B, prior to the walk through. Please check in with the Facilities Manager, Markus Brown and sign-in stating your name, company name and a current email address.

Plans, specifications, addenda, and bidders list are available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. at http://www.bxwa.com. Click on “Posted Projects,” “Public Works,” “OBHMC,” “Projects Bidding.” Builders Exchange manages the official bidders list. Bidders are encouraged to register in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the official bidders list.

Bidders shall hold their bid prices for sixty (60) calendar days after bid opening.

A bid guarantee in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid total price must accompany each bid. Bid guarantees of the three low Bidders will be retained until a contract has been entered into between the successful Bidder and OBHMC.

OBHMC reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities.

The selected Contractor, prior to commencing work, shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in compliance with Chapter 39.08 RCW and in the full amount of the contract price including the estimated taxes, W-9 form, and insurance certificates and endorsements.

The Project scope may be reduced some amount if the successful Contractor’s total bid price, including sales tax, for the Project exceeds the available funding.
